Rise Up Australia Party is a socially conservative political party in Australia. The party's policy platform is focused on nationalist and Christian conservative issues, such as opposing the spread of Islamic doctrine in Australia and opposition to same-sex marriage. The party was started by Pentecostal minister Danny Nalliah. The party was launched with the help of Christopher Monckton, with Nalliah to run for a senate seat in 2013. Nalliah has declared that former Prime Minister Julia Gillard is "living in sin" for cohabiting with a domestic partner, while attacking former Greens leader Bob Brown for being an "openly practising homosexual"; Nalliah has stated that he felt sick to the stomach watching Gillard and Brown shake hands.
